ROLC Outreach - Making Disciples

Our Outreach Philosophy

Many Christians operate from a place of defeat not knowing their position, rights, who they are in Christ and their benefits. That place from the scripture standpoint is Hosea 4:6. It states, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children."

My Brothers and Sisters this should not be! What God has done through Jesus at Calvary; The Bible clearly states, "Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.(John 1:16). We also find "and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority" (Colossians 2:10).

The vision for ROLC is to obey the Lords commandment of making disciples. As the Lord has demonstrated the importance of making disciples though His own ministry and through the ministry of the apostles as shared in the scriptures, I believe this same attitude toward His commandment should be expressed through all believers and all local churches.

ROLC believes intentional, purposeful living with a view to reaching people for Christ is a key component in our availability to fulfill the Great Commission. Living intentionally with a view to making disciples is a response to our Lord’s command. It is an act of obedience, which acknowledges His lordship

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 We believe that God is challenging the members of River of Life Church to be His light in a desperate and needy world. In Acts 1:8, Jesus calls each one of us to reach out to people not only in our "Jerusalem’s", which our families, our neighborhoods, our workplaces - but also in our "Judea’s and Samaria’s" as well, which encompasses all communities and other "ends of the earth".

To obediently follow God’s command to reach out to the Jerusalem’s, Judea’s and Samaria’s, we are called by the Spirit of God through His Holy word to be available instruments of God.
